Please do NOT sign any of the documents until you are in the presence of a Notary Public.

By law, a Notary Public must witness all documents being signed-by all parties involved.

All signers must be present with proper identification at the time of notarization.

Drivers License/State ID

US Military ID Card

US Passport

Foreign Passport w/US Customs Stamp

Inmate ID Card
Documents

Vital records such as birth, death, or marriage certificates cannot be notarized.

Original documents must be presented for all Copy Certifications.

Prior to notarization, understand which notary certificate you require (such as Jurat, Acknowledgment, Oath, etc.

Notaries are not allowed to advise which certificate to utilize.
Other

No ID? A signer can provide 2 credible witnesses that will swear to his/her identity. Witnesses must be 18 or older with valid ID, and cannot have a financial or vested interest in documents.

The name does not match ID? see above.

Signature Mark with "X"? 2 witnesses are necessary. One must write the signer's name by the mark and proceed to sign as a witness.
